Job Skout Browser Extension — Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 11, 2026
What the extension does
Job Skout reads the job application form on the page you are viewing,
matches its fields to the career profile you created in the Job Skout
web app, and suggests answers. Nothing is submitted automatically — you
accept every value yourself.
Data the extension handles
- Your career profile (name, contact details, work
history, education, skills, work-authorization answers, job preferences) —
created by you in the Job Skout web app and fetched from your own
account's database.
- Authentication tokens for your Job Skout account,
shared from the web app session so you don't sign in twice.
- Form field labels of the page you are viewing, read
locally to match fields to your profile.
Where data goes
- Profile data and tokens are stored in your browser's extension storage
on your device.
- The extension communicates only with your own Job Skout backend
(Supabase) to read your profiles and refresh your session.
- Page content is analyzed locally in your browser. It is never uploaded
anywhere.
What we do NOT do
- No selling or sharing of data with third parties.
- No advertising, tracking, or analytics of any kind.
- No collection of browsing history.
- No automatic form submission.
Data removal
Signing out of the Job Skout web app clears the extension's session.
Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data. Your profile data
lives in your Job Skout account and can be deleted there.
