Overview The Maintenance Technician position requires strong electrical troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude. Candidates should have five years of experience in packaging and equipment maintenance, with a focus on electrical installation, PLC knowledge, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities Install machine and control wiring installations
Perform component‑level troubleshooting and maintenance
Apply PLC understanding and troubleshooting skills (non‑programming)
Anchor equipment, run conduit, pull wire, terminate conductors
Maintain and rebuild equipment, conveyor systems, robotics, and other routine maintenance duties
Qualifications High school diploma required
5 years' experience in packaging and equipment maintenance with emphasis on electrical installation and preventive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting (conveyors, robotics, over‑wrappers, palletizers, shrink wrappers, casers, air compressors, boilers)
Experience maintaining and troubleshooting automated conveyor equipment preferred
Certifications in basic electrical, mechanical, motor control relay logic, and schematic reading preferred
Experience operating boom and scissor lifts required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Use basic electrical test instruments (VOM, multimeter, clamp‑on ampere meter)
Troubleshoot sensors, photo‑eyes, pneumatic cylinders, MAC valves, and PLC related operations
Maintain and operate boilers and steam tunnels
