A well-established and growing construction company is seeking a hands on ConstructionAccountingManager to take ownership of both project accounting and day-to-day financial operations. This position is open due to the upcoming retirement of a long tenured employee and offers the opportunity to step into a highly visible role with direct access to company leadership.

WhatYou'llBeDoing:

Construction&ProjectAccounting

  • ManageallAIAbilling,progressbilling,andprojectinvoicingactivities.
  • Trackcontractvalues,changeorders,retainage,andbillingschedules.
  • PartnercloselywithProjectManagerstoensureaccurateprojectfinancialtracking.
  • Monitorapproximately20activeconstructionprojectsrangingfrom$2M-$5M.
  • Maintainprojectaccountingrecordsandsupportjobcostingefforts.
  • Prepareandsubmitdetailedcustomerbillingpackages.

CorporateAccounting&Bookkeeping

  • ManageAccountsPayableandAccountsReceivable.
  • Performbankreconciliationsandmaintaincashmanagementprocesses.
  • Processpayrollandpayroll-relatedreporting.
  • Preparestatetaxfilingsandsupportcompliancerequirements.
  • Assistwithmonth-endandyear-endaccountingactivities.
  • CoordinatewithexternalCPApartnersandsupportaudit/bondingrequirements.

RequiredQualifications:

  • 5+yearsofconstructionaccountingexperience.
  • StrongexperiencewithAIABillingandProgressBilling.
  • Experiencemanagingchangeordersandprojectbilling.
  • Musthavehands-onQuickBooksexperience
  • StrongMicrosoftExcelskills.
  • Backgroundworkinginasmallcompanyenvironment.
  • Comfortablewearingmultiplehatsandworkingindependently.
  • Highlyorganized,detail-oriented,andself-motivated.
