About the Position

We are seeking a motivated Plumbing Helper to join our growing commercial plumbing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the plumbing trade while working on commercial buildings throughout New York City.

You will assist licensed plumbers with installations, repairs, maintenance, and service work in office buildings, retail spaces, schools, healthcare facilities, restaurants, and other commercial properties.

Responsibilities

• Assist plumbers with commercial plumbing installations and repairs.
• Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and materials.
• Cut, measure, and assemble piping under supervision.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site.
• Support troubleshooting and repair of plumbing systems.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Plumbing experience preferred but not required.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work.
• Reliable transportation to job sites throughout NYC.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and positive attitude.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• OSHA 30 certification

Commercial Plumbing Mechanic – NYC

Location: New York City (All Boroughs)

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Plumbing Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial plumbing systems and can work independently or as part of a crew on new construction, renovations, tenant fit-outs, and service projects throughout New York City.

This position requires a skilled professional who takes pride in quality workmanship, maintains a safe work environment, and can effectively communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and other trades.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Install sanitary, storm, domestic water, gas, and waste piping systems.
• Set and connect plumbing fixtures, equipment, and specialty systems.
• Perform rough-in, finish, and service work on commercial projects.
• Troubleshoot plumbing issues and recommend effective solutions.
• Ensure all work complies with NYC Plumbing Code and project specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to maintain project schedules.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Follow OSHA safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of commercial plumbing experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing installations and code requirements.
• Ability to read blueprints and layout plumbing systems independently.
• Experience with cast iron, copper, steel, PVC, CPVC, PEX, and no-hub piping systems.
• Experience installing pumps, water heaters, backflow preventers, fixtures, and commercial equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and complete work with minimal supervision.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and dependable attendance.
