Janitor/Cleaner

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance.
• Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as dusting, trash removal, restroom sanitation, and surface cleaning across multiple areas.
• Utilize commercial cleaning equipment and supplies safely and effectively to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
• Assist with floor care procedures including stripping, sealing, waxing, and buffing to preserve flooring quality.
• Support facilities maintenance activities by reporting repairs needed for fixtures, lighting, or other building components.
• Maintain cleanliness in both residential and industrial settings by following established cleaning protocols.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and stored properly while adhering to safety guidelines.

Experience

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and waxing is highly desirable.
• Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies is a plus.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs and troubleshooting is beneficial.
• Prior porter or custodial experience in large facilities will be considered an asset.
• Ability to follow safety procedures diligently and work independently with minimal supervision.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
