School Nurse / Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Hourly Rate: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour (depending on skill set and experience)
As a School Nurse, you will provide specialized nursing care and health support services to medically fragile students within school-based settings throughout the San Francisco area. This role supports students with a variety of complex medical needs while collaborating closely with school staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure a safe and supportive educational environment. Opportunities are available for Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) seeking full-time schedules, with part-time candidates also encouraged to apply. Schedule / Shift
Shift details: School-day schedule, Monday-Friday
Full-time opportunities available; part-time candidates encouraged to apply
Contract length: Provide direct nursing care and health support services to medically fragile students
Support students requiring ventilator care, tracheostomy care, diabetes management, catheterization, and tube feedings
Monitor student health status and respond appropriately to medical needs throughout the school day
Administer medications and perform nursing procedures as required by student care plans
Collaborate with school staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support student well-being and safety
Maintain accurate health documentation and comply with district and nursing standards
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Required: Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
Ability to care for students with complex medical and special healthcare needs
Experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, diabetes management, catheterization, and tube feedings preferred
Ability to meet fingerprinting and district clearance requirements
Per Diem / Temporary (Hourly) Roles
