Food Quality Control Technician (Food Manufacturing)(CA/YM)

A food manufacturing company is seeking a Food Quality Control Technician to join their team in Garden Grove, CA. This position is responsible for maintaining safety and quality standards of company products. An associate degree or higher in biology/chemistry or related field and knowledge of food plant sanitation and ATP testing procedures is required. This is a full-time, non-exempt, in-person position with excellent benefits and 401k. [Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 3:00pm - 12:00am] **Entry-level candidates welcome to apply**

Food Quality Control Technician Duties:

-Microbiological testing: Aseptic technique, pipetting skills, knowledge of dilutions

-Raw Materials: Check the integrity of incoming raw materials, GMO tests of raw soybeans

-Intermediate product testing: Check weight and hardness to ensure products are within the "standard range"

-Finished Product testing: Check weight, hardness, dimensions, and sensory test to ensure products are within specifications

• Obtain test samples

-Instrument calibration: QC equipment and Production plant equipment

-Generate reports using Microsoft Excel, Work and PowerPoint

-Audit participation (Internal and 3rd party)

-Familiar with food safety systems and good manufacturing process

Food Quality Control Technician Skills:

-Must have an associate’s degree or higher in bio/chem or related field

-Must have knowledge of food plant sanitation and ATP testing procedures

-Basic math and writing skills

-Basic Microsoft Office skills

-Attention to detail
