Accounting Assistant/Office Administrator

Do you have experience in office administration, bookkeeping, or Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable? We're looking for a detail-oriented Office Administrator/Accounting Assistant to join our client’s team! This is a Direct Hire role. $60,000-$70,000

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls, greet clients, and provide professional, friendly customer service.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar.
  • Process tax returns and organize client documentation to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
  • Assist with internal bookkeeping, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), data entry, reconciliations, and other accounting support as needed.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain electronic and paper client files while ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
  • Assist clients with general questions, collect required documentation, and direct inquiries to the appropriate team members.
  • Perform data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Support the accounting and tax team with administrative projects and special assignments during busy tax seasons.
  • Order and maintain office supplies and assist with general office organization.
  • Help ensure the office operates smoothly by providing support wherever needed and collaborating with the rest of the team.

Preferred Experience

We're especially interested in candidates with experience in:

  • Tax preparation or working in a CPA/tax office
  • Bookkeeping
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Accounting or finance support
  • Administrative support in a professional office environment
