Brooklyn Dumpling Shop is looking for a dependable, hardworking Line Cook to join our team. We are currently hiring for morning shift, and late shift positions. If you thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, take pride in preparing quality food, and enjoy working with a great team, we’d love to hear from you. Experience as a line cook is preferred, but a strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work evenings, late nights, and overnight hours are essential. Duties

• Prepare ingredients and components for menu items, including slicing, dicing, and portioning with precision using knife skills and slicing techniques
• Assist in menu planning by preparing daily specials and ensuring consistency in food presentation and quality
• Cook various dishes according to recipes, safety standards, and customer specifications, maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
• Support food handling procedures by adhering to safety standards in production, storage, and sanitation practices
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and efficient service during busy hours
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and utensils in compliance with food safety management protocols
• Assist with catering orders and special event meal preparations as needed

Requirements

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings with strong kitchen experience in the food industry
• Knowledge of food safety standards, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Familiarity with safety standards in production environments and food safety management systems
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to support serving staff during busy periods
• Prior experience with menu planning or catering is a plus
