Job Title: Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Roofing & Architectural Sheet Metal

Position Overview: As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll dive headfirst into the complete project life cycle, from sales and estimating to project management and close-out. Working closely with seasoned project managers, both in the office and in the field, you'll play a pivotal role in executing project tasks while gaining invaluable insights into our industry-leading systems and installation techniques. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior project managers in delivering exceptional service to our valued customers.
  • Learn and perform accurate take-offs from project specifications, blueprints, and field measurements to generate estimates.
  • Prepare comprehensive submittal packets and precise shop drawings to meet project requirements.
  • Transmit and diligently monitor Requests for Information (RFIs) to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Conduct field measurements, sample collection, and document project meetings with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Coordinate labor and resources efficiently, optimizing project timelines and budgets.
  • Conduct daily on-site startup safety and production huddles to foster a culture of safety and productivity.
  • Supervise job safety, production, and quality control to uphold our standards of excellence.
  • Manage the procurement process, including ordering and tracking materials to maintain project schedules.
  • Develop proficiency in the roof systems we install and contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives.
  • Cost out projects for future reference, leveraging your analytical skills to drive informed decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in construction, engineering, architecture, or related field from an accredited university, or equivalent experience and technical training is equally relevant.
  • Working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and building processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and construction-related software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • CAD skills are a plus.
  • Physical fitness and ability to work at heights, as this role involves climbing ladders and scaffold.
