Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with labor and delivery experience for a 13-week travel contract in an LDRP unit in Anchorage, AK.

Details

• LDRP unit in a hospital setting with 7 beds
• Patient ratios are variable and based on acuity
• Unit is staffed with 2 RNs and 1 surgical tech
• Procedures performed include vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&E, D&C, tubal ligation, vaginal repair, and hysterectomy
• GE equipment used on unit
• EMR system is Epic
• Day shift hours: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Floating may occur as needed when census is low

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Surgical Technologist
• Experience in a labor and delivery setting required
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required; state license required if applicable
• BLS certification from the AHA or ARC required
• NRP (Advanced 9th Edition) certification required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
