Job Summary:

As a Warehouse Package Handler at Aramark, you play a key role in ensuring that products are received, organized, and distributed efficiently and accurately. You'll support the overall warehouse operations including inventory management, order preparation, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Individuals need to be 18 years old or older
  • Candidates are encouraged to have a high school diploma or GED for this role
  • Two years of experience in a warehouse environment is preferred
  • Developing basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills is imperative
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Capable of effectively delivering messages through both written and spoken communication
  • Proficiency in manipulating tools with physical coordination
  • Proficiency in lifting up to 50 pounds and performing frequent lifting and transporting tasks with loads up to 35 pounds
  • Having a valid driver's license may be necessary depending on the location, and an evaluation of the Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) will be carried out

Physical Demands:

  • Extensive periods of walking and standing for an extended period of time
  • Consistent involvement in tasks that require lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling
  • It is important to follow the protocols concerning the use of uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities may vary by Aramark location depending on client requirements and business needs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitor and tag received items; communicate any inconsistencies found in the shipments versus the provided invoices
  • Implement FIFO inventory management for perishables to enhance product rotation and minimize the chances of expiration
  • Perform tasks involving the operation or training in the use of manual and electric pallet jacks and forklifts as necessary
  • Assemble and coordinate inventory to deliver on orders for products, materials, and tools
  • Transport, deliver, and shift goods within the warehouse premises or to designated customer destinations utilizing carts or powered transportation
  • Perform scheduled inventory evaluations as required
  • Precisely fill out all necessary documentation, which may include maintaining inventory logs, conducting temperature verifications, recording spoilage incidents, and inspecting equipment, using either paper-based or digital systems
  • Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of warehouse spaces, encompassing restrooms, break areas, loading docks, and raised platforms
  • Comply with safety measures, OSHA requirements, guidelines outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and emergency response protocols
  • Always use the right Personal Protective Gear (PPG) for your protection
  • Preserve the safety of both client and corporate belongings
  • Uphold a professional standard during interactions with clients, coworkers, suppliers, and visitors
  • Be present at gatherings and fulfill any other responsibilities delegated
