Key Responsibilities Include:
- Preparing and organizing the operating room for surgical procedures
- Ensuring sterile fields and adherence to infection control measures
- Assisting surgeons and surgical assistants by handing them instruments and supplies
- Managing surgical equipment before, during, and following operations
- Overseeing supply inventory and ensuring operational readiness
- Collaborating seamlessly with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other surgical personnel
- Maintaining accurate counts and documentation for surgical procedures
Qualifications: • Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory
Certifications Required: • Valid CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential is essential
- BLS certification (or ability to secure within 90 days post-hire)
