Our soccer program is seeking a passionate, organized, and growth-minded U7-U8 Girls Program Director to lead and expand one of our foundational player development programs. This is a unique opportunity for a coach and program leader who is excited about developing young players, building relationships with families, and creating a pathway into a highly competitive youth soccer environment.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the experience of young female athletes while helping grow the program and preparing players for advancement into our competitive U9 travel program.

Position: U7-U8 Girls Program Director
Location: Manhattan, New York 10023
Start Date: September 1, 2026
End Date: August 31, 2027
Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 annually
Openings: 1
Schedule
Four weekday afternoons/evenings (approximately 4:00 PM – 7:30 PM)
Weekend training sessions and games (Saturday and Sunday schedules vary)
Approximately 800 working hours annually

Position Summary
The U7-U8 Pride Girls Program Director will oversee all aspects of the Pride Academy Program, including coaching, curriculum implementation, parent communication, staff management, player evaluations, recruitment, and program development. This role combines on-field coaching excellence with administrative leadership and strategic growth initiatives.
The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and passionate about youth development while possessing the ability to build strong relationships with players, families, coaching staff, schools, and community partners.
On-Field Responsibilities
Lead all Pride training sessions and games throughout the fall, winter, and spring seasons
Implement and execute the program's player development curriculum
Create a positive, engaging, and development-focused learning environment
Support players' technical, tactical, social, and emotional growth
Build meaningful relationships with players and families
Organize and lead parent education sessions, clinics, and community events
Serve as a positive ambassador for the program
Administrative Responsibilities
Manage coaching staff schedules for trainings and games
Provide feedback and recommendations regarding coaching staff performance
Participate in weekly meetings with the Director of Coaching (DOC)
Complete player evaluations during the fall and spring seasons
Develop relationships with schools, organizations, and community partners
Create and implement new programs, clinics, and initiatives to grow participation
Maintain timely and professional communication with families and staff
Develop and execute player recruitment strategies
Evaluate league and competition opportunities throughout the year
Support the continued growth and success of the Pride Academy Program
Qualifications
Previous soccer coaching experience, preferably within youth development environments
Strong understanding of player development for ages 7-8
Experience managing programs, staff, or teams is preferred
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Strong organizational and administrative abilities
Passion for youth sports and long-term athlete development
Ability to work independently while collaborating with leadership
Commitment to creating a positive and inclusive environment for players and families
