Certified Medical Assistant
The all-women practice FABEN OBGYN is growing! Our staff is expanding and we are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant. Candidate will have experience in OB and GYN, EMR and great interpersonal skills. Competitive salary (commensurate with experience).
Responsibilities and duties:
- Prepare patients for examination and assists provider during treatment and procedures.
- Prepare, restock, and sterilize medical equipment, examination and procedure rooms, lab area and all other patient care areas per company policies and procedures.
- Verify patient information by interviewing, recording, and determining the purpose of today visit.
- Clerical duties as required to update EMR, complete forms and charting.
- Perform phlebotomy, injections, and other specimen collection.
- Educate patients by providing information and instructions as directed by the provider.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and safety guidelines/regulations.
- Represent office in a professional manner.
- Must be able to work in fast pace environment and be able to travel to all 3 office locations.
Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Demonstrated ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections, if applicable.
- Able to perform dosage calculations and measurement conversions.
-Familiar with GYN procedures, such as LEEP, Myosure and Colposcopies
-Minimum of 2 years experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer literate and able to enter data into the electronic medical records application.
- Customer Service.
- Ability to obtain and maintain BLS certification and MA certification from an approved entity within the first 90 days of employment.
License:
- BLS (Required)
- MA Certification (Required)
- Phlebotomy (preferred)
- Bilingual: Spanish (Preferred)
