Certified Medical Assistant

The all-women practice FABEN OBGYN is growing! Our staff is expanding and we are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant. Candidate will have experience in OB and GYN, EMR and great interpersonal skills. Competitive salary (commensurate with experience).

Responsibilities and duties:

• Prepare patients for examination and assists provider during treatment and procedures.
• Prepare, restock, and sterilize medical equipment, examination and procedure rooms, lab area and all other patient care areas per company policies and procedures.
• Verify patient information by interviewing, recording, and determining the purpose of today visit.
• Clerical duties as required to update EMR, complete forms and charting.
• Perform phlebotomy, injections, and other specimen collection.
• Educate patients by providing information and instructions as directed by the provider.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and safety guidelines/regulations.
• Represent office in a professional manner.
• Must be able to work in fast pace environment and be able to travel to all 3 office locations.

Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Demonstrated ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections, if applicable.
• Able to perform dosage calculations and measurement conversions.

-Familiar with GYN procedures, such as LEEP, Myosure and Colposcopies

-Minimum of 2 years experience

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literate and able to enter data into the electronic medical records application.
• Customer Service.
• Ability to obtain and maintain BLS certification and MA certification from an approved entity within the first 90 days of employment.

License:

• BLS (Required)
• MA Certification (Required)
• Phlebotomy (preferred)
• Bilingual: Spanish (Preferred)

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
