Job Title: RN: Psych

Location: Savannah, GA

Setting: State Psych Facility

Pay Range: $1900 - $2000 weekly gross

Schedule: 7p-7:30a, 36 hours per week. Every other weekend, holidays as needed

Contract Length: 16 Weeks

Candidate Type: Local and traveler friendly

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience as a RN
  • Qualified applicants MUST have at least 1 year of experience in Psychiatric nursing
  • Valid Registered Nurse license
  • Be willing to obtain GA or compact state licensure

Responsibilities

As a healthcare professional in an Adult Mental Health facility, you'll play a critical role in serving a unique and often underserved patient population. Your care will directly impact patient safety, wellness, and rehabilitation. A few of the responsibilities include:

  • Accurately administers prescribed medications and initiates intravenous therapies
  • Conducts thorough health assessments to identify client problems and needs, formulating and implementing individualized nursing care plans.
  • Makes daily resident rounds to assess physical and emotional status and to implement any required nursing interventions.
  • Responds to resident and family concerns and ensures that each concern is documented, and a resolution is initiated or communicated to appropriate staff.
  • Serves as a shift leader and a resource to other staff on the unit.
