Senior Manager, Payroll & Benefits

We’re partnering with a growing organization to identify a Senior Manager of Payroll & Benefits to lead international and domestic payroll operations and benefits strategy. This role sits at the intersection of HR and Finance, owning execution, compliance, and continuous improvement across critical people programs.

What You’ll Do.....

Payroll

  • Oversee accurate, timely payroll processing (multi-state, Canada, Mexico)
  • Partner with Finance on reconciliation, reporting, and labor forecasting
  • Ensure compliance with all filings
  • Maintain strong controls, audit readiness, and year-end processes

Benefits

  • Lead design and administration of health, retirement, and wellness programs
  • Own Open Enrollment strategy, execution, and communications
  • Manage leave programs (FMLA, ADA, Canadian leaves)
  • Oversee HRIS and vendor integrations; troubleshoot and optimize
  • Partner with vendors on plan design and cost management

Compliance & Operations

  • Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, FLSA, and Canadian regulations
  • Monitor regulatory changes (paid leave, wage laws) and adapt accordingly
  • Maintain policies, SOPs, and audit processes

Leadership

  • Lead and develop a payroll and benefits team
  • Drive KPIs, accountability, and continuous process improvement
  • Partner cross-functionally to scale and enhance programs

What You Bring

  • 9+ years of payroll and benefits experience, including 5+ years in leadership
  • Experience across multi-state payroll and benefits; International payroll exposure required
  • Strong compliance and regulatory knowledge
  • Experience with payroll/HRIS systems
  • Proven ability to lead teams and improve processes
  • Manufacturing industry experience is a plus
