POSITION SUMMARY
The Outside Sales Representative will develop and execute a sales strategy to be successful in a highly competitive environment. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, highly motivated, customer service minded individual with good presentation and closing skills. Candidates with experience and a background in some form of the CPG Industry, GMP Compliance and Logistics are encouraged to apply.
POSITION DETAILS
- Generate new leads and customers through prospecting
- Call on target, current, and prospective customers consistent with our ideal customer profile to generate sales, improve market share, and increase revenue
- Sell accounts on the basis of service and problem-solving by offering solutions to improve customer methods and procedures
- Maintain a sales pipeline sufficient to support in meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Develop and maintain strategic account plans for top customers and prospects
- Acquire system knowledge and competence, both operational and informational, to perform all functions at a professional level
- Work with internal teams to ensure customers' needs are met
- Complete weekly sales reports
- Some travel required
Requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of previous outside selling experience
- Must have the ability to build or currently have a base of key contacts and relationships
- Must be a self-starter, enthusiastic, driven, and self-motivated
- Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, and written)
- Proven prospecting, follow-up, and value-added consultative selling skills
- Experience in networking
- Knowledge of the packaging, warehousing, and logistics industry
- Ability to manage time efficiently
- Excellent closing skills
- Must demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to our company culture
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Basic computer skills (working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as the ability to conduct on-line searches for potential customers)
