Preschool on The Hill is seeking a caring, patient, and experienced teacher to lead our 2-year-old Potty Training Class. This position requires an individual who understands toddler development and has proven experience helping young children successfully navigate the potty-training process with consistency, encouragement, and compassion.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, a positive attitude, and the ability to partner with families to support each child's growth and independence.

Responsibilities

  • Create a warm, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for two-year-olds.
  • Implement and maintain a consistent potty-training program.
  • Work closely with parents to ensure continuity between home and school potty-training routines.
  • Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and spiritual development.
  • Foster independence, self-help skills, and positive social interactions.
  • Maintain accurate records of potty-training progress and communicate regularly with families.
  • Keep the classroom clean, organized, and compliant with licensing requirements.
  • Support the Christian mission and comply with the values of Preschool on The Hill.

Skills

  • Minimum of 12 ECE units required.
  • Experience potty training young children is mandatory.
  • Previous experience teaching or caring for toddlers (ages 2–3) required.
  • Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and families.
  • Current Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Must meet all state licensing requirements and pass required background clearances.

Pay: $18.50 - $22.00 per hour
