Accounting Manager- Commercial Properties

Responsibilities

• Review accounts payable and mortgage statements.
• Review the General Ledger and ensure all journal entries are accurate.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition and expense allocation.
• Review financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow).
• Manage and review the entire month- end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Review and execute management fees.
• Review monthly variance analysis report.
• Oversee tax compliance (sales tax, property tax)
• Review depreciation and amortization of fixed assets, tenant improvements, and leasing commissions.
• Assist property managers with all revenue questions and issues that may arise.
• Oversee the renewal of business insurance policies.
• Review 1099s

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 5-8 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail or commercial property.
• Experience with MRI, Yardi and AvidXchange system
• Strong analytical skills
