Recovery Support Specialist (DuPage)

The Recovery Support Specialist is a consumer of mental health services who is in the advanced phase of their own recovery. The RSS has many of the same characteristics and/or life experiences as the clients served by the program (i.e. the main client problems/issues/needs which the program is designed to address). This position serves as a mentor to other clients working on recovery goals and assists in care coordination services, advocacy and crisis management. The RSS must be a consumer or parent/guardian/caregiver of a client who has successfully navigated the MH systems.
