Are you passionate about technology and eager to grow your skills in cloud-native infrastructure? As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will join a collaborative operations team responsible for maintaining and improving critical platform infrastructure. You'll work hands-on with Kubernetes, service mesh, and AWS technologies while learning from experienced engineers who will help you develop into a well-rounded platform professional.

We seek a motivated Cloud Operations Engineer to help maintain our cloud-native infrastructure using Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Istio/Gloo Mesh, Prometheus, and AWS. In this role, you will contribute to the operational health of Constant Contact's platform, ensuring our environments remain current, secure, and reliable. What You’ll Do:

Coordinate upgrades in lockstep across EKS, OKD, Calico, Gloo Mesh, and Istio to ensure compatibility

Maintain environments on AWS standard support tiers for EKS by tracking versions and planning upgrades proactively

Execute monthly operational tasks, including CrowdStrike agent upgrades, SSL/TLS certificate rotations, and ArgoCD updates

Build, maintain, and upgrade Kubernetes clusters and ancillary software using EKS and OKD

Work with stakeholders to resolve issues with AWS and Kubernetes

Document operational procedures and share knowledge with stakeholder teams

Collaborate with senior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing

Assist with the development and maintenance of observability systems

Study the system and proactively suggest architectural improvements and automated solutions for daily operations, deployment, and monitoring

Provide input on cloud-based best practices

Participate in a team's on-call schedule, which means that occasionally, you may be asked to provide after-hours technical expertise, guidance, and support. Business hours are typically 9:00 - 5:00pm ET

Who You Are:

2+ years of professional work experience in DevOps, SRE, System Administration, or similar roles (internship or project experience counts)

Experience with Kubernetes and Docker is required to be successful in this role

Scripting abilities in Bash and/or Python

Familiarity with ArgoCD or similar GitOps tooling

Experience utilizing AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, etc.) to streamline work efficiencies

Knowledge of networking fundamentals; comfortable using common troubleshooting tools like dig, nslookup, netstat, netcat, or tcpdump

Skilled at learning complex processes quickly with a self-service mindset through independent research

Experience working with Git in a CI/CD environment

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education and work location. In addition, some roles may be eligible for additional on target commission pay or bonus. The compensation package includes health and welfare benefits including paid leave.
