Commercial Sheet Metal Mechanic

Proman Skilled Trades is accepting applications for experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics and Helpers for commercial projects in DFW Area. We are looking for skilled tradespeople with strong experience in duct installation, fabrication, and blueprint reading.

Job Responsibilities:

• Install, assemble, and fabricate sheet metal components for commercial HVAC systems.
• Measure, cut, and bend sheet metal according to project specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
• Install ductwork, fittings, hangers, and supports according to code and safety standards.
• Operate hand and power tools, including snips, drills, and shears.
• Ensure proper sealing and insulation of duct systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair sheet metal installations as needed.
• Work efficiently in a team setting to meet project deadlines.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3+years of experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic in commercial construction.
• Ability to read and work from blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and assembling sheet metal components.
• Experience with different types of ductwork, including rectangular, spiral, and flex duct.
• Must have reliable transportation to job sites in DFW Area
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various conditions, including heights and confined spaces.
