Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Zund Cutter Table Operator to join our finishing team in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for operating our Zund digital flatbed cutting system to precisely cut, crease, and route printed graphics for a wide range of substrates and applications. This is a hands-on production role that requires accuracy, efficiency, and a solid understanding of digital cutting workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the Zund digital flatbed cutter including tool head setup, material registration, and job execution
• Program and optimize cut files using Zund Cut Center software and prepare jobs from production files
• Select and configure appropriate cutting tools (knife, router bit, crease wheel, etc.) based on substrate type and job requirements
• Load, position, and secure a variety of media including vinyl, foam board, and rigid substrates
• Perform quality checks on finished cuts for accuracy, clean edges, and proper registration
• Maintain and care for cutting tools including blade changes and router bit maintenance
• Troubleshoot cutting issues such as misregistration, rough edges, or incomplete cuts
• Collaborate with press operators and production staff to ensure efficient workflow from print to finish
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety protocols

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating a CNC flatbed digital cutter. Experience with Zund brand equipment or similar production based equipment will be considered.
• Proficiency with Zund Cut Center (ZCC) software for file preparation and job setup
• Strong understanding of cutting tool selection, pressure settings, and speed optimization by material type
• Ability to interpret drawings, cut files, and production specs
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in a production environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience finishing large-format graphics for events, exhibits, or retail displays
• Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator or other vector software for basic file review
• Experience with routing applications and multi-layer substrate cutting
