Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Specialist (Transport/Logistics) to join our dynamic operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the transportation and logistics functions within our supply chain framework. Your expertise will ensure the seamless movement of goods, efficient coordination with suppliers and carriers, and adherence to production schedules. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of supply chain management principles, including demand planning, procurement, and logistics, supported by proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS. Duties

• Coordinate transportation activities to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished products across multiple locations.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to align purchasing strategies with production planning and demand forecasts.
• Utilize ERP systems like SAP and Oracle EBS to monitor inventory levels, manage MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and support demand planning efforts.
• Optimize logistics operations by analyzing transportation routes, freight costs, and delivery schedules to improve efficiency.
• Support supply chain management initiatives by implementing lean manufacturing principles aimed at reducing waste and improving process flow.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, delivery statuses, and transportation costs for reporting and analysis.
• Work closely with plant management to align logistics activities with production schedules and manufacturing requirements.
• Assist in procurement activities related to transportation services, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within supply chain operations to enhance overall performance.

Experience

• Proven experience in supply chain management or logistics within a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, or similar platforms used for supply chain operations.
• Strong understanding of demand planning, MRP, production planning, and procurement processes.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques to streamline logistics workflows.
• Experience coordinating transportation logistics, including carrier negotiations and route optimization.
• Ability to analyze data related to supply chain performance metrics for continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across cross-functional teams including purchasing, plant management, and logistics providers. Job Types: Full-time, Contract
