Accounting Specialist

Accounting Specialist (AP/AR) | Arlington, TX | Fully Onsite | $70K to $75K

SAGE Search Partners has partnered with an established retail client in Arlington in the search for an Accounting Specialist to own the full AP and AR cycle. This is a hands-on seat with real end-to-end ownership, reporting to the Director of Finance on a small, stable accounting team.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience, exposure to NetSuite ERP, advanced Excel skills, and is proficient in AR & AP.

Job Scope:

Accounts Payable

• Process and track vendor invoices, payments, and statements, including domestic and international vendor payments
• Maintain master vendor records and handle vendor setup and compliance
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Reconcile corporate credit card expenses, including American Express, with proper GL coding
• Look for ways to streamline and improve the payment process

Accounts Receivable and Collections

• Support customer billing and invoicing, process customer payments, and keep invoices going out on time
• Run active collections on aging accounts
• Accounting and Financial Operations
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly account and bank reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end close
• Maintain accurate records and provide documentation for audits
• Assist with corporate lease administration and tracking
• Provide daily phone coverage for the accounting department

Company Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of progressive accounting experience with direct exposure to both AP and AR
• Hands-on experience in NetSuite
• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, working with large data sets)
• Strong, accurate data entry and sharp attention to detail
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines without losing accuracy
• Associate or Bachelor degree preferred
• Background in retail, distribution, logistics, or manufacturing is a plus

Compensation and Benefits:

• Base salary of $70,000 to $75,000 depending on experience
• Company covers 75% of health premiums for you and your family
• 401(k) match of 50 percent up to 10 percent of pay
• Roughly 2.5 weeks of PTO to start

This role is fully onsite in the Arlington area, so candidates should be local or within an easy commute.
