About the Opportunity

An innovative, high-growth industrial technology company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its expanding finance team. The organization is developing proprietary solutions focused on improving efficiency across energy, manufacturing, and infrastructure environments. The Opportunity

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in core accounting operations, month-end close, and process improvement initiatives. This role is open due to growth and will provide the opportunity to contribute to systems enhancements and scalable infrastructure development.

The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation, with experience in inventory, cost accounting, and revenue recognition, along with the ability to operate effectively in a visible, fast-paced environment. This position will also oversee a Staff Accountant and support ongoing ERP enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the full-cycle month-end close process

Oversee accounting in the areas of:

  • Inventory
  • Cost accounting
  • Revenue recognition
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen processes, controls, and workflows
  • Support ERP optimization efforts, including inventory-related system enhancements
  • Supervise and mentor a Staff Accountant
  • Partner with leadership to help develop a scalable accounting function
  • Operate in a collaborative, high-visibility environment requiring strong communication and professionalism

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience

Hands-on experience with:

  • Inventory accounting
  • Cost accounting
  • Revenue recognition
  • Experience managing full-cycle month-end close
  • Prior leadership or team lead experience preferred
  • ERP experience required (NetSuite preferred)
  • Background in public accounting and/or a public company environment strongly preferred
  • Big 4 experience is a plus
  • CPA strongly preferred
