We are seeking a professional, organized, and patient-focused Medical Receptionist / Front Desk Associate to join our healthcare team. This role is essential to creating a positive patient experience while supporting the efficient day-to-day operations of our medical office.
Work Schedule: Full days Monday - Thursday and half-day Fridays. No weekends!
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and able to manage multiple administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and supporting quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and visitors in a courteous, compassionate, and professional manner
- Manage a multi-line phone system, including scheduling appointments and routing patient inquiries appropriately
- Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, and other required information
- Schedule appointments and maintain provider calendars using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Process incoming referrals, medical correspondence, faxes, and emails
- Coordinate with clinical staff to support smooth patient flow and office efficiency
- Maintain office supply inventory and assist with general administrative duties
- Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of patient records
- Uphold professionalism, confidentiality, and excellent phone etiquette at all times
QualificationsRequired
- Previous experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare setting
- Strong customer service and patient communication skills
- Experience using multi-line phone systems
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and professionalism
Preferred
- Familiarity with EHR systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, data entry, and typing
- Experience coordinating referrals and medical records
