Phlebotomist III Float – North Syracuse, NY From Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with rotational weekends. In a Phlebotomy float role we offer a varied work environment where no two days will look the same. You will shift frequently to new patient centers and continually meet new people. Pay range: $22.25 - $24.49 per hour Salary offers are based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Candidates may be eligible for an annual performance bonus. Responsibilities Assigned a territory to cover phlebotomist duties within a Patient Service Center, doctor’s office, or as business needs dictate. Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for lab testing. Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams). Enter billing information and collect payment when required. Coach, mentor, instruct, and be a resource advisor for new employees; serve as point of contact to staff on site and provide regular input to group lead or supervisor. Travel to additional doctor’s office or Patient Service Center sites when needed. Qualifications Required Education High school diploma or equivalent. Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington. Work Experience Five years of phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections. Minimum 3 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred. Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience. The position requires effective communication in English.
