Job Description:

Assists a Physical Therapist with a patient's rehabilitative activities to help reduce pain and improve mobility. Assists in exercise instruction and demonstration, patient evaluation and testing. Requires an associate's degree from an accredited program and licensure as a physical therapist assistant. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Duties of the Position:

• Assists in preparation of patients for treatment under the direction of physical therapist.
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information on patients' charts.
• Gives instructions to patients as instructed by physical therapist or supervisor.
• Keeps treatment rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintains instruments, prepares sterilization as required.
• Prepares and sanitizes treatment rooms for the patients.
• Maintain the medical records of a patients.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision of Physical Therapist.
• Be responsible for operation and maintenance of equipment.
• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Reports to a Physical Therapist and the company administration.
