Speech Language Pathologist in Woodbridge, VA

Make a real difference supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic school setting! We are seeking dedicated professionals to provide essential speech and language services for the upcoming academic year. This contract position offers the opportunity to engage with students across elementary, middle, and high school levels in the vibrant Washington DC metro area, approximately 45 minutes south of the city.

As a vital resource for students, you'll collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement individualized therapy plans, ensuring learners reach their communication goals. This is a full-time, 37.5 hour per week, on-site position with placements available throughout the district.

Requirements:

• Active Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
• Experience or strong interest in school-based therapy for diverse age groups
• Ability to begin the credentialing process quickly, including completing a VA Dept. of Social Services background check and TB test
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Commitment to working a 185-day contract: August 3rd, 2026 May 27th, 2027
• Flexibility to be assigned to schools and caseloads according to district needs, including all age ranges

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
• Collaborate with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Develop and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Deliver engaging, evidence-based interventions to help students thrive academically and socially
