The Electrical Engineer is responsible for assigned activities within the electrical engineering discipline in support of facility design, operation, and maintenance. The successful candidate will apply broad and diversified knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, and DOE-complex requirements in the preparation of engineering analyses, design packages, and technical deliverables. This position performs conventional electrical design and analysis, supports system integration across disciplines, provides construction and project support, and contributes to continuous process improvement to meet customer needs. The Electrical Engineer must be capable of working independently and collaboratively within a multi-discipline team environment.

Essential Job Functions

Perform conventional electrical engineering design, analysis, calculations, and evaluations.

Develop, review, revise, and support engineering design packages.

Prepare and review engineering documentation and technical deliverables.

Provide construction support, field engineering support, and project engineering support.

Support system integration activities within and across engineering disciplines.

Utilize engineering technology, software tools, and established engineering practices to accomplish assigned work.

Apply industry, regulatory, and DOE/NNSA requirements to engineering activities.

Interface effectively with project personnel, engineers, operations personnel, and other stakeholders.

Work independently while also contributing as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

May provide technical direction and guidance to technicians and support personnel, as assigned.
