Patient Access Specialist, 16 hours Bi-Weekly, Weekends - Sat & Sun- 3pm-11:30pm

MAIN FUNCTION: Emergency Room Registration: Responsible for the performance of all registration/pre-registration functions at all Patient Access intake points of entry. Communicates with patients, families, physicians, and insurance companies to obtain information and insurance verification through electronic verification system and to assure quality patient care an collection of co-pays, and deductibles if applicable. Interviews and registers patients.

EDUCATION: High school graduation or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2-3 years previous office experience required; medical background preferred. Computer literacy required with experience in word processing, Knowledge of medical terminology required.

SCHEDULE: Every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday) 3pm-11:30pm
