Who We Want — Performs janitorial duties necessary to maintain and protect the assigned areas of responsibility. Ensures that external and internal appearance of a building is clean, organized and meets Company standards.

What You'll Do

• Follows standard work and daily checklists to ensure that all assigned tasks are performed to standard and meet expectations.
• Clean and make minor repair to building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters, and drains.
• Clean, sanitize, and stock restrooms/locker rooms using established practices and procedures.
• Clean, dust, and wipe furniture, sweep, mop, or vacuum floors.
• Empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers.
• Use ladders when required in work assignments.
• Remove outside debris and maintain grounds as assigned.
• Maintain the landscape around the buildings and fence lines.
• Clean all windows indoors.
• Clean and sanitize lunchroom floors, furniture, and counters.
• Other duties assigned by Management.

When And Where

This will be a 2nd Shift, 2:00 PM‑10:00 PM, Monday‑Friday position located at our Plant in Walker, MI. Occasionally, this may require you to arrive early, stay late, or work on weekends, outside of our regular hours, to ensure we successfully meet customer needs, deadlines, or urgent requests.

What You Need To Have

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to stand for 8‑10 hours a day and be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a level sufficient to safely and effectively perform job duties, including following work instructions, safety procedures, and company communications.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree acceptable.
• Minimum 2 years of professional janitorial experience.
• High standards of performance for self; takes responsibility for actions, results, and mistakes.
• Thorough, accurate, and reliable when performing and completing job tasks; demonstrates honesty and integrity.
• Positive conflict resolution skills; constructive approach to change.
• Maintains positive relationships; works collaboratively; shares information and knowledge.
• At work when scheduled and ensures coverage when absent; uses time wisely.
• Proven experience as janitor or similar role; knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances.
• Familiarity with handyman and basic landscaping practices; attention to detail.
• Respectful and able to take direction; works with little supervision.
• Works up to 12 hours per day including Saturday and Sunday.
