Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues with diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical components.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other industrial machinery to ensure peak operational efficiency.
- Fabricate parts or modifications as needed using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to meet specific job requirements.
- Service and repair vehicle systems including air brakes, alignments, tire service, brake repair, HVAC systems, and wheel assemblies.
- Operate heavy equipment safely during maintenance procedures or testing phases to verify repairs and functionality.
- Interpret technical schematics and manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues accurately.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all repairs performed while adhering to safety standards and quality control protocols.
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in diesel engine repair and heavy equipment maintenance.
- Dealership experience or similar OEM service background is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, soldering, and assembly of mechanical components.
- Familiarity with excavator, crane, forklift operation, and farm machinery servicing.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems, powertrains, transmissions, suspension systems, air brakes, HVAC systems, and electrical diagnostics.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
