Senior Mechanical Assembler
Location: San Diego CA 92121
Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday–Friday | 2:30 PM – 11:30 PM
Pay: $20- $24.04/hr DOE
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Assembler to join a leading technology manufacturer in San Diego. In this role you will perform complex mechanical and electronic assembly operations while working from engineering drawings wiring diagrams and schematics. This position requires strong attention to detail excellent communication skills and experience with IPC standards and SMT assembly.
Job Duties
•
Assemble mechanical components subassemblies sheet metal enclosures chassis drawers and racks.
•
Read and interpret assembly drawings schematics and wiring diagrams.
•
Perform hand soldering cable harnessing and wire assembly.
•
Conduct routine go/no-go testing of circuits components and mechanical assemblies.
•
Set up and operate testing equipment using established procedures.
•
Document test results and maintain production records.
•
Troubleshoot and perform repair work as needed.
•
Follow ESD procedures and quality standards throughout the assembly process.
•
Work independently on complex assignments while maintaining production and quality goals.
Qualifications
•
High School Diploma or equivalent.
•
Experience with IPC-A-610 standards.
•
Experience with SMT circuit board assembly.
•
Knowledge of electronic component placement and polarity.
•
Ability to read and interpret schematics wiring diagrams and assembly drawings.
•
Experience using hand tools and electronic test equipment.
•
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
•
Experience operating Siemens or ASM SMT equipment.
•
Experience with Ekra paste printers.
•
Experience using AOI equipment.
•
Familiarity with MS Teams.
