Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Analyst specializing in Accounting and Reporting to join our dynamic finance team. This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and clarity of our financial statements and reports. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in corporate accounting, financial analysis, and regulatory reporting to support strategic decision-making and maintain adherence to international standards such as IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Responsibilities

  • This role ensures financial accuracy and compliance by performing complex account reconciliations, technical accounting research, and preparing audit schedules.
  • It supports budgeting, debt program requirements, and financial reporting through detailed analysis, variance explanations, and process improvements.
  • The position may work within the Controller or Finance departments, providing high‑level service to internal stakeholders.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and distribute financial/statistical reports, including variance explanations using cost tracing and root‑cause analysis.
  • Audit Support: Develop schedules and supporting documents for annual external audits and other financial initiatives.
  • Dashboards & Benchmarks: Update department dashboards, calculate ratios, graph trends, and monitor benchmarks with variance analysis
  • Reconciliations: Perform account reconciliations and financial data analysis to ensure accuracy.
  • Policy Development: Evaluate and recommend accounting policies and procedures aligned with best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Technical Research: Conduct accounting research, write position papers, and document implemented policies.
  • Process Improvement: Prepare/update desktop procedures, flowcharts, and recommend efficiency improvements.
  • Communication: Explain financial concepts clearly to internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Customer Service: Provide responsive support to internal clients on financial and operational questions.
  • Project Support: Contribute to process improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned.

MUST HAVE:

  • Should have experience in financial analysis, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, or accounting analysis
  • Must have strong experience performing account reconciliations and analyzing financial data
  • Should understand accounting principles such as GAAP, general ledger, month-end close, and financial controls
  • Experience supporting audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation is highly preferred
  • Should have experience performing variance analysis, root cause analysis, and financial investigations Strong Excel skills are important, including financial reporting, dashboards, and data analysis Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Business Administration, or related field is strongly preferred.

Shift Timings: 8AM-5PM

Weekly schedule: M-F

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
