Role Description The Heating Air Conditioning Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Colorado Springs, CO. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing residential and commercial heating and cooling systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and mini-splits. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing system issues, performing routine and preventive maintenance, inspecting components for safety and efficiency, and recommending appropriate repairs or upgrades. The technician will interact with customers on-site, explain findings and service options, and complete accurate service documentation. The role also requires adherence to safety standards, proper handling of refrigerants, and collaboration with team members to ensure timely and high-quality service.
Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving HVAC system issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of plumbing fundamentals as they relate to HVAC installations and repairs.
- Experience with preventive maintenance practices to ensure reliable, long-term system performance.
- Understanding of electricity, including reading wiring diagrams and safely working with electrical components.
- EPA certification (or eligibility to obtain) for proper handling of refrigerants.
- Relevant HVAC training or certification; prior experience as an HVAC technician is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work safely with tools and equipment, follow company and regulatory safety guidelines, and lift moderate weights.
- Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in and around Colorado Springs, CO.
