Position Summary:

Samsung SDSA is seeking an associate level Linux Systems Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain high‑availability Linux‑based servers and appliances across our enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will drive upgrades, implement disaster‑recovery solutions, and continually refine operational processes while providing hands‑on support on a 24 × 7 × 365 basis.

Responsibilities:

Platform Management  – Administer and optimize UNIX and Enterprise‑Fedora Linux platforms (Red Hat, CentOS, Oracle Linux, Rocky, etc.).

Patch & Upgrade Lifecycle  – Plan, test, and apply OS patches, upgrades, migrations, and virtualization initiatives.

Server Operations  – Monitor, configure, troubleshoot, and enhance physical and virtual UNIX/Linux servers.

Environment Support  – Assist with Production, Development, QA, Test, and Disaster‑Recovery system installs and configurations.

Performance Monitoring  – Operate monitoring tools to detect performance issues, respond to alerts, and manage change requests.

Asset Management  – Track hardware and software assets; maintain accurate inventory records.

On‑Call Duty  – Provide 24 × 7 × 365 support for all assigned UNIX/Linux servers, both physical and virtual.
