Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to deliver freight efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in handling various types of cargo, including dry van, will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all safety and transportation regulations. Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailers with automatic transmission across local and regional routes, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
• Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems, planning optimal delivery schedules while managing route driving responsibilities.
• Handle various types of cargo including dry van, and freight requiring special handling
• Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure compliance with safety standards; report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and shipment records in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered during transport.

Requirements

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience operating tractor-trailers with automatic transmission.
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and freight handling.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols related to transporting dangerous goods.
• Ability to handle various cargo types such as dry van, safely and efficiently.
• Proficiency in using GPS navigation tools for route planning and execution.
• Physical ability to load/unload freight manually or with equipment like; familiarity with logistics cargo handling procedures.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating deliveries and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Flexibility to work extended hours or adapt to changing schedules as needed.
