Position Overview
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will support the Project Manager and Superintendent in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants exposure to all aspects of the construction process.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with day-to-day management of assigned construction projects.
- Support project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and cost control efforts.
- Track and manage change orders, purchase orders, contracts, and project documentation.
- Facilitate the RFI and submittal processes.
- Review and maintain project plans, specifications, shop drawings, and samples.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
- Assist with subcontractor procurement, bid solicitation, and scope review.
- Maintain project schedules and provide progress updates to project leadership.
- Prepare cost reports, budget tracking spreadsheets, and project status reports.
- Assist with invoice review and processing.
- Support project closeout activities, including collection of warranties, O&M manuals, and final documentation.
- Maintain accurate project records using Procore or Autodesk and other project management software.
- Attend project meetings and document action items and follow-up requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Building Science, Civil Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in construction project management, field engineering, estimating, or a related role.
- Multifamily construction experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP plans.
- Working knowledge of construction terminology, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Experience with Procore, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Project preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- OSHA 10 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
