Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer

Florida | Hybrid Opportunity

A growing and well-established MEP consulting engineering firm is seeking a Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer to join its Florida team. This position offers the opportunity to lead the design of HVAC and mechanical systems for a diverse portfolio of commercial, institutional, healthcare, educational, and mixed-use projects.

Responsibilities:

• Design HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation, and mechanical building systems
• Prepare construction documents, specifications, and engineering calculations
• Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and architectural teams
• Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and system sizing
• Interface with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
• Support projects through design, permitting, and construction phases
• Mentor junior engineers and designers

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 8+ years of HVAC/mechanical design experience within an MEP consulting environment
• Experience with HVAC design software and engineering calculations
• Strong knowledge of building codes, energy codes, and mechanical systems
• Excellent communication and project coordination skills
• PE license is not required
