Job Details

• Schedule: Saturdays, 7:00am – 6:30pm (breaks included). Note: teaching schedule may vary based on morning and/or afternoon class availability.
• Location: Detroit, MI - Troy 48098 (In-Person)
• Compensation: $25–$27/hr, depending on experience.

Role Introduction

Detroit Dental Assistant School – Troy is hiring a Part‑Time Dental Assistant Instructor for our ongoing 12‑week hands‑on clinical training programs.

What You’ll Do

• Demonstrate chairside procedures and clinical techniques.
• Teach radiology fundamentals and safety protocols.
• Coach students during hands‑on lab practice.
• Provide performance feedback and skills assessments.
• Maintain infection control and classroom safety standards.
• Foster a supportive, structured learning environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of dental assisting or chairside experience.
• Active Radiology Certification.
• CPR/BLS Certification.
• Strong communicator: able to explain clinical procedures clearly to learners with no prior experience.
• Able to commute to location(s).

Nice‑to‑haves: prior teaching or mentoring experience, Dentrix familiarity, leadership background.
