Warehouse Operator

Job Description:

As a Warehouse Operator at Aramark, you play a key role in ensuring that products are received, organized, and distributed efficiently and accurately. You'll support the overall warehouse operations including inventory management, order preparation, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment.

Qualifications:

• To be eligible, individuals must be 18 years old or more
• Candidates are encouraged to have a high school diploma or GED for this role
• Candidates with two years of experience working in a warehouse are strongly encouraged to apply
• Developing basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills is imperative
• Basic computer literacy
• Capable of effectively delivering messages through both written and spoken communication
• Ability to operate tools with skilled manual dexterity
• Proficiency in lifting up to 50 pounds and performing frequent lifting and transporting tasks with loads up to 35 pounds
• Applicants may need to have a valid driver's license depending on the location, with a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) evaluation being conducted

Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities may vary by Aramark location depending on client requirements and business needs. Key responsibilities include:

• Receive, validate, and designate incoming products; disclose any discrepancies found between the delivered items and corresponding invoices
• Implement FIFO inventory management for perishables to enhance product rotation and minimize the chances of expiration
• Engage in tasks involving the operation or training for the use of manual/electric pallet jacks and forklifts as necessary
• Assemble and coordinate inventory to deliver on orders for products, materials, and tools
• Conduct the loading, offloading, and movement of merchandise within the warehouse or to client sites with the use of carts or powered transportation means
• Perform scheduled inventory evaluations as required
• Ensure meticulous completion of documentation duties such as maintaining inventory records, verifying temperatures, tracking spoilage occurrences, and conducting equipment inspections, whether through manual paperwork or digital platforms
• Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of warehouse spaces, encompassing restrooms, break areas, loading docks, and raised platforms
• Adhere to safety protocols, follow Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, review Safety Data Sheet (SDS) guidelines, and be aware of emergency response procedures
• Always use the right Personal Protective Gear (PPG) for your protection
• Preserve the safety of both customer and corporate possessions
• Uphold a professional standard during interactions with clients, coworkers, suppliers, and visitors
• Participate actively in meetings and undertake any other duties assigned

Physical Demands:

The responsibilities for this position may encompass:

• Extensive periods of walking and standing for an extended period of time
• Consistent utilization of physical effort in lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling movements
• It is important to follow the protocols concerning the use of uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
