At Continued Health Services, we believe that great care starts with compassionate people. We are currently seeking a dedicated and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting.

Position Overview

As a DSP, you will work in a foster home serving 3 consumers and provide daily support to individuals served by CHS. Your role will focus on promoting independence, enhancing quality of life, and ensuring a safe and supportive living environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with daily living activities and personal care needs
  • Support bathing, grooming, hygiene, and dressing routines
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when needed
  • Administer and document medications according to established procedures
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment
  • Complete daily documentation, progress notes, and required records
  • Encourage independence, social engagement, and skill development
  • Assist with community outings, appointments, and recreational activities
  • Provide transportation as needed
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and support networks
  • Protect the privacy, dignity, and rights of all individuals served

Qualifications

  • Valid Driver's License
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • HIPAA Training
  • HIV/AIDS and Infection Control Training
  • Zero Tolerance and Direct Care Core Competency Training
  • Level 2 background check

Don't have all certifications yet? No problem. CHS LLC provides training and assistance in obtaining required certifications.

Schedule

Saturday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Sunday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Preferred)
  • Level 2 Background Check (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
