Job Summary:
As a Warehouse Production Labor at Aramark, you play a key role in ensuring that products are received, organized, and distributed efficiently and accurately. You'll support the overall warehouse operations including inventory management, order preparation, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment.
Qualifications:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old to be eligible for consideration.
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- At least two years of experience in warehouse operations is highly desirable.
- Essential proficiency in reading, writing, and basic mathematics is required.
- Must possess basic computer literacy.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment with precision and manual dexterity.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and consistently carry loads weighing up to 35 lbs.
- A valid driver's license may be required depending on the site, subject to a standard Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
Physical Demands:
This role may require the following responsibilities:
- Prolonged intervals of walking and staying upright
- Frequent requirements for lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling actions
- The rules about wearing uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) should be strictly followed
Job Responsibilities:
- Check, designate, and organize incoming products; highlight any disparities observed between the deliveries and associated invoices
- Utilize the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) strategy for organizing and storing perishable products to optimize inventory management
- Carry out responsibilities that include the operation or learning to operate manual/electric pallet jacks and forklifts if necessary
- Collect and categorize resources to satisfy demands for products, supplies, and equipment
- Transfer, deliver, and relocate goods within the warehouse area or to customer sites efficiently by utilizing carts or powered machinery
- Execute planned inventory counts at the specified times
- Accurately record essential information in various documents, such as inventory logs, temperature readings, spoilage records, and equipment inspection reports, utilizing either physical or digital formats
- Maintain the tidiness and upkeep of warehouse areas, which include bathrooms, break rooms, loading docks, and elevated platforms
- Observe safety procedures, adhere to OSHA standards, follow guidelines in Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and be familiar with emergency protocols
- Stay safe by wearing the prescribed Personal Protection Gear (PPG) for the task
- Safeguard the welfare of both client and business assets
- Ensure professional conduct when interacting with clients, coworkers, suppliers, and visitors
- Make sure to be at meetings and complete any other tasks allocated
