CNC Machinist (Mills and Lathe)

A Shift Monday-Thursday 6:00AM-4:30PM

B Shift Monday-Thursday 4:30PM-3:00AM

C Shift Friday-Sunday 6:00AM-6:00PM

D Shift Friday-Sunday 6:00PM-6:00AM

Note: Most training will take place on A Shift for up to 90-days

Essential Duties: The following are tasks performed by this position; other duties may be assigned.

• Operate CNC Mills and lathes to produce the required number of correct parts in a timely manner according to process documentation. This can include operating multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously.
• Correctly setup jobs in assigned equipment in a timely manner.
• Perform 1st piece, in-process and last piece inspection using micrometers, calipers, comparators, various gauges and CMM equipment according to process documentation.
• Perform data collection and communication tasks in Job Boss and other applications.
• Perform operator maintenance.
• Diagnose and correct equipment or tool issues.
• Perform de-burr or rework of work in-process.
• Make recommendations to optimize and improve assigned processes.
• Maintain work station to 5S standards.
• Perform all work according to PAC safety standards.
• Comply with all PAC policy and procedures.

Physical Conditions:

• Vision to AS 9100 standards.
• Lift, push and/or pull 50 pounds.
• Stand at least 95% of the scheduled shift.
• Routinely perform reaching, twisting, bending and grasping in order to move and set tools, equipment and material.

Suggested Qualifications:

• 2+ years of successful essential duty related experience, including operation of CNC controlled relevant equipment.
• Firm understanding of machining center theory, including x, y and z axis, along with edge and centerline pickup.
• Ability to use common measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges (pin, thread, indicator, height), optical comparators and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
• Significant collaboration and communication skills related to continuous improvement and customer
• Blueprint reading skills to GD&T standards
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Windows and MS Office skills.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
