Position Summary

We are expanding and seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of low voltage systems in commercial and industrial environments in the Cincinnati area. This role includes working with security systems, access control, fire alarm systems, data/communication networks, and audiovisual equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems including security and surveillance, access control, fire alarms, structured cabling, and AV systems

Troubleshoot wiring, equipment malfunctions, connectivity issues, and system performance problems

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability

Upgrade and modify existing systems to meet project requirements and evolving technology

Communicate with clients to understand system needs, provide recommendations, and resolve concerns professionally

Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and regulations

Follow all safety policies and procedures while working on job sites

Use testing and diagnostic equipment to verify system functionality and performance

Required Skills Qualifications

Working knowledge of low voltage systems including security, fire alarm, audio/video, and data cabling

Strong troubleshooting and problem solving abilities

Good communication and customer service skills

High attention to detail

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

  • Must be willing to travel** This is a traveling position.

Experience

Previous experience in low voltage or electrical systems required
