Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to maintain a welcoming environment for patients. She should have a background in dental assisting.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule appointments and manage the dental clinic's calendar effectively.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered.
- Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes as needed.
- Coordinate with dental assistants and other staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Knowledge with dental software Dentrix for patient management.
- Support the dental team in various tasks related to endodontics, pediatric dentistry, and general dental assisting.
- Uphold aseptic techniques and ensure the clinic adheres to health standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a receptionist or in a similar role within a dental clinic is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical coding and familiarity with dental procedures is a plus.
- Understanding of anatomy relevant to dentistry is beneficial.
- Proficiency in using dentrix dental software is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- A background in dental assisting or knowledge of aseptic techniques is desirable nmandatory.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.75 - $20.00 per hour
