Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare and educational teams. In this vital role, you will support licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering high-quality speech therapy services in a collaborative environment.
Duties
- Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized treatment plans for children and adults with speech, language, or swallowing disorders
- Support therapy sessions by preparing materials, setting up equipment, and documenting progress accurately
- Work directly with patients to facilitate speech therapy exercises tailored to their needs
- Monitor and record client responses during therapy sessions to inform ongoing treatment strategies
- Collaborate with educators, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to support child language development and early intervention initiatives
- Maintain detailed records of therapy activities and progress notes
Qualifications
- Experience working with children, students with disabilities, or those in pediatrics or early intervention programs
- Familiarity with speech therapy techniques for diverse populations including individuals with disabilities
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly with clients and families
- Knowledge of child language development stages and strategies for working with students with special needs
